Who are we?

Heather Cryer
 Founder, Owner, Creative Strategist

Hi! I’m Heather, the founder of Custom Quartet Stuff — a business built by a barbershopper, for barbershoppers. I fell in love with this incredible art form back in 2001, and it’s been a defining part of my life ever since. From singing and performing to building lifelong friendships, the barbershop community has shaped who I am both personally and creatively.

In 2017, I began my journey as a small business owner, creating custom pieces on Etsy and discovering a passion for turning ideas into tangible, meaningful products. In 2021, I realized I could merge my two greatest loves — creativity and barbershop — and Custom Quartet Stuff was born. What started as making custom gear for quartets quickly grew into a full-service custom apparel and merchandise studio offering laser engraving, screen printing, direct-to-garment printing, embroidery, drinkware, hats, bags, and so much more. As our slogan says, "We’ve got you covered.”

Today, I’m proud to serve the barbershop community and beyond, helping groups, choruses, and organizations bring their identity to life through custom gear that feels personal, high-quality, and made with heart. The Barbershop Harmony Society has been a constant in my life for more than half of it, and Custom Quartet Stuff is my way of giving back to the community that has given me so much.

Director of Operations

Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’m so excited to be part of the Custom Quartet Stuff team. I’ve been a barbershopper for the past 10 years, and like so many others, this amazing art form has become a huge part of my life. From singing bass with The Ladies Quartet, to meeting my Husband, building deep friendships and unforgettable memories, barbershop has shaped me both musically and personally.

In 2023, I had the incredible honor of being named a Sweet Adelines International Queen of Harmony with The Ladies, an experience that deepened my love for the craft and the community even more. Barbershop has pushed me to grow, dream bigger, and celebrate what’s possible when people come together through music.

Joining Custom Quartet Stuff feels like a perfect fit — a place where creativity, community, and barbershop all intersect. I’m thrilled to help support quartets, choruses, and organizations by bringing their ideas to life through custom gear that celebrates who they are. Being part of CQS allows me to give back to the community that has given me so much, and I can’t wait to see what we create together.
